The possibility of a transfer is not entirely closed yet, but PremiumSport claim it's looking very difficult at the moment. Sassuolo have no intention of selling Berardi and they have a pact to sell him to the Old Lady further down the line.
La Gazzetta dello Sport corroborates the story, but adds that the transfer may still happen if the player himself wills it. Berardi is expected to meet his club today, and if he communicates that his desire is to join the Biscione, negotiations may open again.
There are rumours that Inter already agreed to a deal in principle with the player, who is believed to have accepted their offer of €2.5m per season over five years. The club from the Emilia-Romagna region would be paid €25m for the deal.
