The latter’s future at the Stadio Meazza is unclear given the slump that the Nerazzurri are currently trying to get out of.
The Beneamata have been linked with sacked Chelsea boss Andre Villas Boas and France manager Laurent Blanc this week, but Moratti has backed his current tactician.
“It's not easy for a Coach to read in the papers every day that there’s a new Coach coming in to replace him, when in actual fact no contact has been made with any other Coach,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.
“Ranieri is professional, he’s getting on with his job and he has my complete support in this difficult time that he’s experiencing and that we're trying to get through.”
Inter have collected just two points from the last 21 on offer in Serie A. They also lost the first leg of their Champions League tie to Marseille 1-0.
“The games against Chievo [tonight] and Marseille will be huge,” the oil baron continued. “In the League we need to continue to show what we did in the last half an hour of Sunday’s game against Catania.
“The match against Marseille will be important because it’s the Champions League, so we need to get it right.”
Fans have been critical of the team and the club in recent weeks and Ranieri says he understands their frustration.
“I think it's quite normal to try and work out what is going on. I do it myself if I'm not happy as a supporter.
“All I can say is that I haven’t been indifferent or absent as I read somewhere, but quite the opposite.
“I am therefore trying to work on a timeframe which ensures that things are resolved this year and that we have a project going forward.”
