Inter have reportedly switched their attentions to Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani after being priced out of Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United are continuing to demand in excess of €80m for Lukaku, which Inter are not prepared to spend.

With that in mind, Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport both claim the alternative is Cavani.

The former Napoli hitman is viewed as a cheaper option, given he is 32 and has only one year left on his PSG contract.

The Nerazzurri would also be able to offer him a €9m salary, a slight drop on his current earnings of €12m a season.

The Uruguayan has scored 193 goals in 279 games for Les Rouge-et-Bleu, winning five Ligue 1 titles.

He netted more than 100 times for Napoli between 2010 and 2013 before his €64m transfer to PSG.
