Inter released a statement today in response to the reports that the club’s ultras forced their fellow fans to leave the stadium during the win over Sampdoria.
The Nerazzurri ultras staged a walk out during the half-time break of the clash against the Ligurian outfit on Saturday, reacting to the news that 69-year-old historic ultra leader Vittorio Boiocchi had been killed in an ambush outside his home.
Banners were withdrawn and the fans left the stadium early, and it was later reported that threats were made by ultras towards regular fans, forcing them to leave their seats and join the walk out.
Boiocchi, who was previously a leader in the Inter ultra movement, had spent 26 years of his life behind bars for various criminal convictions including drug trafficking and theft. He had been banned from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and was forced to stay 2km away from the stadium during Inter matches.
Inter released a statement today condemning the incident and reaffirming their focus on protecting the supporters.
“FC Internazionale Milano firmly condemns any episode of coercion that occurred Saturday night at the second green ring of the San Siro stadium.
“The Club, which in every venue fights against all types of violence, reaffirms the essential values of brotherhood, inclusion and anti-discrimination – and expresses its total solidarity with those fans who have been forced to give up what they hold most dear: their love and passion for Inter.
“The Club – which works every year to strengthen the security and surveillance presence inside the stadium – reaffirms once again its total collaboration with the Police Force to ensure the protection of the rights of its fans.”

If I travelled from Ireland to Inter play and some yob tells me to leave the stadium because of a criminal, he would need a bulldozer to shift me off my seat.
Strongly condemn but no security measures in place in the stadium to stop this happening.
In Italy the ultras have too much power. These people are forcing ticket paying customers to leave because the want to honor a fallen criminal?? Get outta here man! What if I travelled from abroad to watch this game. And btw, where was security at the stadium when this happened??
