Inter are stepping up their pursuit of Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla, it’s reported, beating Napoli, Lazio, Fiorentina, Manchester United and Chelsea.

The 20-year-old Albania international spent his entire career with Verona and is relishing his debut Serie A season, with one goal in 18 games.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter have made a beeline for the centre-back and are putting their resources into securing a summer deal.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter have made a beeline for the centre-back and are putting their resources into securing a summer deal.

They are offering €20m plus another €5m in performance-related bonuses, but that is still below the €30m asking price.

Napoli had been close to an agreement with the club, although it appears as if they have not been able to work out personal terms with the player.

Lazio, Fiorentina, Manchester United and Chelsea are also known to be interested, along with some Bundesliga clubs, but Inter are the absolute favourites to sign Kumbulla.
