Caen claim they have rejected a “fairly honest” bid from Inter for attacking starlet Yann Karamoh.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter sent two offers of €3m then €6m for Karamoh, whose contract expires next summer, but Caen’s President expressed his hope of negotiating an extension for the 19-year-old.

“Inter made a fairly honest offer, considering the player had only a year left on his contract,” Jean-Francois Fortin was quoted as saying by the website.

“We still have the hope of finding an agreement as soon as possible. This is the right project for him.”

CM adds Saint-Etienne have met Caen’s asking price of €8m for Karamoh, but he “prefers to wait for the Nerazzuri.”
