The Dutchman has only played in five Serie A games this term after picking up a muscle problem in late September.
Coutinho, meanwhile, limped out of the 1-0 win over Partizan Belgrade with a micro-fracture to his tibia.
The 20-year-old has three goals in 12 games for the Nerazzurri this season.
