Inter President Erick Thohir was suspected of being exposed in the 'Panama Papers' leak, but only his brother Garibaldi is involved.

The leak of the confidential account details for Panama-based corporate services company Mossack Fonseca started an international investigation into off-shore tax evasion.

The Panama Papers scandal involved football as well, with the Corriere della Sera being the first Italian source to report of possible illicit transactions that involved Inter.

The Panama Papers scandal involved football as well, with the Corriere della Sera being the first Italian source to report of possible illicit transactions that involved Inter.

While the rumour had substantial exposure in international media, an investigation led by the Espresso in association with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists claims that Inter are clear of all suspicions.

The Panama Papers reportedly include neither former Biscione President Massimo Moratti, nor current President Thohir.

Rather they involve the President's brother Garibaldi Thohir, who is a share-holder in Panama-based Harold Heights Group Ltd.

In any case, Garibaldi's involvement with Mossack Fonseca predates Erick Thohir's purchase of Inter.
