After a goalless first half, the Nerazzurri opened the scoring in the 56th minute with a goal from Walter Samuel after he got on the end of a Fredy Guarin free-kick.
Fifteen minutes later, the Beneamata made it 2-0 thanks to some individual brilliance from Philippe Coutinho. Giampaolo Pazzini was again left out of the squad given that he is available for transfer.
