Reports in Spain suggest Inter have rekindled interest in Valencia’s Sofiane Feghouli.

The Nerazzurri were linked with the winger this summer, but the Algerian international opted to stay at Mestalla.

The 25-year-old’s contract runs out in the summer, and he was widely expected to sign a renewal with Los Che.

However, Las Provincias notes that the fact no deal has been agreed so far suggests that there is a problem, and speculates that Inter are ready to make an offer.

Feghouli will be free to talk to other clubs in the January transfer window, and the Nerazzurri are thought to be in pole position.

The player could sign a pre-contract with the Beneamata, and then move in the summer, though if a deal was already in place it would strengthen Inter’s negotiating position.

Las Provincias says Feghouli’s release clause is €20m, but the Nerazzurri may be able to secure him for less, rather than Valencia seeing him move for free.
