According to reports today, Inter are in line for a shock return in the summer transfer market for striker Samuel Eto’o.

Eto’o, who was sold by the Nerazzurri to Anzhi in 2011 in a deal that made him the world’s highest paid football with a salary of €20m a season, is reportedly being targeted by the Italians once more.

Reports have it in Italy that Inter are ready to come in with a €3m salary offer plus bonuses to try and tempt the Cameroonian forward back to San Siro in the summer.

Eto’o’s current deal with Anzhi expires in June 2014 and he is seen as set to decide on his future with the Russians in the coming weeks.
