Pescara starlet Lorenzo Insigne will probably not return to parent club Napoli this summer amid interest from 10 different teams.

The Under-21 international has been a key figure in Pescara’s Serie B title success this term, but his future is unclear.

“Up to a month ago, there was an agreement with Napoli that Insigne would go and play his football in a less pressurised place than Naples next season,” agent Fabio Andreotti told TMW.

“The solution of staying at Pescara could be ideal. The place loves him, Insigne would be at the centre of the new team and, it seems, that Under-21 boss Ciro Ferrara will be on the bench.

“We’ll now meet with Napoli to understand their intentions. If they want to count on Insigne then things may change. If not then it is right that Lorenzo is allowed to grow elsewhere.”

Pescara will not be the boy’s only option for 2012-13 as his representative has made it clear when asked about interest in his client.

“The list is long,” he added. “There are two English clubs, one French and three Italian ones who have come forward to buy him.

“There are also four other teams in Italy who would like him on loan.”

Insigne is an attacking player who can be used wide in a trident or as a second striker.
