Lorenzo Insigne confirms he rejected Francesco Totti, explains why he left Mino Raiola and tells Aurelio De Laurentiis he ‘dreams’ of a new Napoli contract.
Insigne recently cut his ties with agent Raiola and was wanted by Totti before he turned to Vincenzo Pisacane.
“He sent me a message, but I calmly told him that I’d make other choices,” he told Corriere della Sera.
“[Leaving Raiola] wasn’t about football or, as I heard, because I had to leave Napoli with him. It was a personal decision.”

It had been claimed Raiola wanted the forward to leave Napoli, so did a move away ever cross his mind?
“Never. Any player dreams of playing for their hometown club, but [staying] certainly doesn’t depend on just me. We’ll see what De Laurentiis says.”
The 29-year-old then had a message for President De Laurentiis.
“I’m calm. I have two more years on my contract. There’s no problem. I’m here if he wants.
“We have a genuine relationship. Sometimes we clash, but like this it’s normal.”
