Failing that and possibly a deal for San Lorenzo’s Adolfo Gaich, the website claims Rangnick may turn his attentions to Schick.

The German helped bring him to RB Leipzig, where he scored 10 goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances.

However, the 24-year-old has since returned to Roma after Leipzig refused to pay the €29m to make his loan permanent.

Schick has no place in the Giallorossi’s plans, despite being their record signing, although they must sell him for at least 26m to avoid making a loss on him.
