Lorenzo Insigne may not realise his dream of a Napoli return – even if the club sell Ezequiel Lavezzi in the summer.

The Italian Under-21 international, who will be 21 in June, is currently on loan with Serie B surprise package Pescara from the San Paolo outfit.

The attacker wants to play for his hometown club in Serie A, but his agent has warned that the youngster needs regular action.

“A lot of people would like to see Lorenzo in the blue shirt of Napoli,” Antonio Ottaviano told Radio Marte. “Let see what happens.

“Serie B as a League is almost too restrictive for Insigne. But if Lorenzo were to be restricted in Serie A then we might have to consider other choices.

“If Lavezzi leaves Napoli then we would have to see whether the club opt to buy a new forward despite having Insigne in their hands already.”

Insigne scored twice in this week’s 6-0 win over Vicenza. He has 16 goals so far this term for the team currently second in Serie B.
