Lorenzo Insigne’s agent slams the media for their portrayal of Naples after his client was robbed at gunpoint.
The Napoli playmaker was subjected to the ordeal in the Vomero district of the city on Saturday night, with the muggers making off with cash and valuables.
However, Insigne’s representative is unhappy that the incident has been used to cast aspersions on his client’s home city.
“Lorenzo’s situation is that of someone who’s had a big scare,” Antonio Ottaiano explained to Radio Marte.

“Lorenzo’s situation is that of someone who’s had a big scare,” Antonio Ottaiano explained to Radio Marte.
“In the moment it’s terrifying, but in the end you can look back and think that it went alright, beyond the damage to property.
“Incidents like this can often turn to tragedy. He’s been quite happy since yesterday, now we just have to turn the page and not allow this to become something bigger.
“Some of the things which have been written are the result of a campaign against this city, giving the wrong message outside of Naples.
“It’s just profiteering, there are many of these kind of incidents outside of Naples.
“Our city is always portrayed poorly.”
