Fiorentina released the list of players called up for the Conference League Final against West Ham United, but coach Vincenzo Italiano confirms it is not entirely accurate.
The match will be played in Prague on Wednesday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).
Both sides are already in the city for their warm-ups and media days, so this evening the official club website announced the squad list for the match.
However, Salvatore Sirigu is there only as a gesture, because the goalkeeper who arrived in January will be out for months with a torn Achilles tendon.
Midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli is also in the list, but Italiano confirmed in his press conference this evening that the Italy international will not be in any condition to play.
This is because he picked up a knock to the knee during Friday’s final Serie A game of the season against Sassuolo and has not fully recovered.
It is not something he can risk, as Castrovilli was out of action for eight months following a serious knee ligament injury in April 2022.
