Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has apologised for his angry reaction to being substituted against Parma on Sunday.
Immobile scored during Lazio’s 2-0 victory over Parma but was then furious at his substitution, ranting and waving his arms all the way round the pitch on his way back to the bench.
Although Simone Inzaghi quickly played down the incident, the 29-year-old still felt the need to say sorry.

“Sometimes the pressure and tension make us do things we shouldn’t do…” he wrote on Instagram.
“It’s only fair that I apologise to my teammates and Coach for my behaviour after my substitution.
“It’s obvious that people will always try to make a story, but lessons are there to be learnt from.
“No-one’s perfect, the important thing is to realise the mistake. Having said that, it’s thanks to our fans that we had this great game.”
