Italy continue their European Under-21 Championships tonight against hosts Israel and Ciro Immobile feels “it’ll be tougher than England.”

The Azzurrini won the opening game of the tournament 1-0 with a late Lorenzo Insigne free kick, while Israel drew 2-2 with 10-man Norway.

This evening they go head-to-head at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv at 19.30 UK time (18.30 GMT). A win will send them through to the semi-finals.

“This game will be tougher than the one against England, because their style of play reduces the spaces available,” said Genoa forward Immobile.

“The only thing that counts here is the group. Our real strength is the team spirit, as we are 23 lads who care about each other.

“Having said that, we are not here for a song and dance. We are here to play for the Euros. It is a short competition, so we have to prove ourselves in every game.”
