Transfers have been abandoned before due to this and there is the very real risk it could scupper the deal for ‘Chucky’ Lozano too.

La Gazzetta dello Sport points out that Lozano’s image rights and various sponsorship contracts are worth €4-5m per year, so he has no intention of simply signing them over to Napoli.

Negotiations are dragging on with agent Mino Raiola, who wants Napoli to either leave the image rights with the player or make up for it with a significantly higher salary.
