Mauro Icardi’s former agent has claimed that ‘the worst is yet to come’ for the Inter striker.

Icardi was stripped of the Inter captaincy on Wednesday, before it emerged that the pulled out of their squad to face Rapid Vienna, and Ablan Moreno warned other clubs may have been put off by the Argentine’s conduct.

“Mauro has changed. His way of thinking and seeing things has changed a lot,” he told Calciomercato.com.

“That seems obvious to me from the outside. I honestly expected all this, and I think the worst is yet to come.

“Inter acted in a logical way. Seeing how Icardi’s camp behaved, they acted accordingly.

“Ausilio is a great professional. He always had a serious way of doing things and that’s why he decided to take the armband away from Icardi.

“Nothing like this happened when he was with him, absolutely not. When I was Icardi’s agent, things were managed in a professional and, above all, private way.

“Mauro’s been a winner since he was a child. He never wants to lose, he hates saying ‘no’ and therefore the incident with the armband will have hurt him.

“However, the his career hasn’t been managed well. Icardi always used to talk about football.

“This is football: anything can happen, but Inter have acted smartly and got tired of the games and unprofessional statements.

“Mauro is no longer in charge of his destiny. [He must] be careful: Inter have told all the best clubs in the world: ‘Icardi has a problem!’ It’s a very strong message.

“I’m no longer his friend. He showed what I meant to him by putting me aside when Wanda arrived.

“I think that choice affected his career. He’s already received advice from me, since he was 13 years old.

“I was the one who let him wear the shirts of Barca and Inter… the rest is his own making.”
