A Spanish journalist has sensationally claimed that Inter striker Mauro Icardi will undergo a medical with Real Madrid at the end of the month.

Pipi Estrada explained during a transmission of El Chiringuito de Jugones on Tuesday evening that Madrid had already agreed a €92m deal with Icardi, which would see Los Blancos pay €80m up front and €12m in bonuses.

Furthermore, the Argentine would earn a salary of €9m after tax and pocket 30 percent of his image-rights income, with the other 70 going to Los Blancos.

Madrid have been tipped to make signings in January after a disappointing start to the season, with many blaming it on their failure to bring in established replacements for the likes of Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and Pepe last summer.

However, the story has been largely ignored in Italy, given Icardi only said on Monday that he had ‘everything’ at Inter, in yet another sign of loyalty to the Serie A leaders.
