Mauro Icardi has praised Milan for signing Leonardo Bonucci and Lucas Biglia but insisted that Inter “only need a few adjustments.”
Milan have spent over €200m on 10 new players so far this summer, among them Bonucci and Biglia, but while Icardi was impressed by their deals for the pair, he made it clear the Nerazzurri were no worse off.
“Expectations for next season? One that’s full of satisfaction. If the club deserve it then so do we,” the striker told Corriere dello Sport.

“Expectations for next season? One that’s full of satisfaction. If the club deserve it then so do we,” the striker told Corriere dello Sport.
“The start will be tough because our first two Serie A games will be against Fiorentina and Roma, but if we do well in such difficult games, we’ll take confidence from them and regain the consistency that we’ve lacked for too many years now.
“This group need to start well in order to find the strength and conviction that lets us go without stopping or blackout.
“Worried about Milan making so many signings? We did the same thing two years ago because the foundations of the team needed to be re-laid.
“We bought so many players, but after a good start, things didn’t go well. Now, obviously Milan have their own need for [signings], while Inter have a solid unit and only need a few adjustments.
“Milan better than Inter? We’ll see… Last season, we thought we had a very good team, but we didn’t get the results we hoped for. A player’s value is determined by their performances on the pitch.
“Bonucci? Certainty they’ve signed a great player. It’ll be strange to face him in the derby because he’s worn a Juventus shirt whenever I’ve faced him.
“Biglia? I heard from him a few days ago: he asked me about Milan and the best places to live, and then we left for the tour. Biglia’s a top player.”
