The Argentine’s looping header proved decisive in a 1-0 victory away to Frosinone, though the woodwork came to the Nerazzurri’s aid three times.

“These are difficult places to pick up points,” Icardi told Mediaset Premium.

“We were struggling to score, though we had two good chances in the first half and I think one great opportunity was incorrectly ruled offside, but it went well in the end.

“I never talk about the Europa League or Champions League. I’ve said since the start of the season that in May we’ll see where we are. Anything can happen in football.”

Icardi marked his 100th competitive appearance for Inter with his 50th goal, an average of a goal every other game.

“I came here to Inter in order to win and do great things.”
