Mauro Icardi has made history as the sixth-youngest player to reach 100 Serie A goals, aged just 25 years and 27 days.

The Inter hitman bagged a first half hat-trick in the space of 14 minutes against his old club Sampdoria, taking his total tally to 102 top flight goals.

He is the sixth-youngest player to reach this milestone, having turned 25 on February 19.

This surpasses Edinson Cavani, who was aged 25 years and 340 days when hitting his Century.

The only players to reach 100 younger than Icardi were all back in the early days of Calcio: Jose Altafini, Felice Borel, Giampiero Boniperti and Silvio Piola.

Giuseppe Meazza, the man for whom the San Siro stadium is named, retains the record with 100 goals at the age of 23 years and 32 days.
