Tuttosport have reported that Inter forward Mauro Icardi is looking for a pay rise at San Siro.
The 21-year-old has been at the centre of a now infamous row with Sampdoria’s Maxi Lopez in recent weeks, concerning Lopez’s ex-wife Wanda Nara, who is now engaged to Icardi.
On the pitch however, the Argentine has been in good form of late and netted a brace as the Nerazzurri beat the Blucerchiati 4-0 last week.
This has reportedly led to him looking for an increase in wages, with his current Inter deal seeing him earn €800,000 a season.
Inter are said to want to postpone any negotiations over a new contract until the end of the season, but they will be conscious of the fact that other clubs are monitoring the situation with interest.
Spanish surprise package Atletico Madrid and big spending French outfit Monaco are rumoured to be two of the main suitors for his signature.
