Mauro Icardi is a doubt for Inter’s home match against Bologna tomorrow, having failed to fully shake off a muscular injury.

The Argentine forward missed last weekend’s draw with Crotone but it was thought he would be fit in time to face Roberto Donadoni’s team at the San Siro.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 24-year-old will at best be on the bench for tomorrow’s clash, with Eder set to deputise once again in attack.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 24-year-old will at best be on the bench for tomorrow’s clash, with Eder set to deputise once again in attack.

The Italian daily claims that Inter boss Luciano Spalletti may leave Icardi out of his squad entirely in order to allow his star forward to complete important training work.

It is expected that Icardi, who has 18 goals for the Nerazzurri this season, will be fully fit for next week’s trip to face Genoa
