Palermo boss Beppe Iachini had a “bitter taste in the mouth” after their 1-0 defeat to Chievo.

The game was decided by Alberto Paloschi, though the same player missed a penalty and Franco Vazquez hit the bar late on.

“In the first half we certainly made a few individual errors that benefited our opponents,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

The game was decided by Alberto Paloschi, though the same player missed a penalty and Franco Vazquez hit the bar late on.

“In the first half we certainly made a few individual errors that benefited our opponents,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We had prepared the match in a certain way, but lost the ball in midfield and it really leaves a bitter taste in the mouth to concede a goal from a goal kick.

“In the second half we did decidedly better, but still were unable to score.”

Palermo have now fired blanks for four consecutive games, so have they lost their mojo?

“Football is made up of moments. Today we hit the woodwork for the 15th time this season and that says a lot about our campaign.

“We have to look at it in a positive way, so at least we are creating the chances.”
