Roma have booked their spot in the Europa League semi-finals following their second leg win over Feyenoord, a result adding millions to their total earnings from the competition this season.

Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi qualified for the competition after securing a sixth place finish in Serie A last season, and they’ve grown to look strong in Europe this campaign.

Roma finished second in a group containing Real Betis, Ludogorets and HJK, before beating RB Salzburg and Real Sociedad in the knock-out rounds. They played a rematch of last season’s Europa Conference League final in their quarter-final clash with Feyenoord, securing a 4-2 aggregate win.

Calcio e Finanza details how Roma have earnt a total of €14.82m from the Europa League this season, including the €5m fine to be deducted from their earnings due to Financial Fair Play violations.

This breaks down into €3.63m as a participation bonus, €3.96m due to their ‘historic ranking’, around €3.7m from the market pool, €2.23m in result bonuses, €0.5m from reaching the play-offs, €1.2m from reaching the Round of 16, €1.8m from reaching the quarter-final and €2.8m from reaching the semi-final, with €5m being deducted in fines.
