Large groups of Milan supporters are expected to wear freshly-printed t-shirts before unveiling a banner targeting former goalkeeper and current Paris Saint-Germain no.1 Gianluigi Donnarumma when the two sides meet in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old is expected to start against Milan at San Siro for the first time since his departure at the end of the 2020-21 season.
Leaving on a free transfer after declaring his love for Milan and being made the team’s first choice goalkeeper aged 16, and just before the Rossoneri returned to the Champions League for the first time in seven years, there are still some feelings of betrayal from the supporters.
Last week, Milan ultras of the Curva Sud posted a story on Instagram showing a delivery of several brown boxes, accompanied by the message “Donnarumma, you’ve got mail.”
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the ultras will don t-shirts printed with the number 71, an old Neapolitan symbol used to describe “the man of s**t.”
La Gazzetta also suggests that the Milan supporters are arranging a pre-match choreography that will reference Donnarumma.
