Roberto Sosa has praised former club Napoli for their decision to replace Edinson Cavani with Gonzalo Higuain.

Cavani scored 104 goals in 138 games for the Azzurri over a three-year period, before he joined Paris Saint-Germain this summer for €64.5m.

The Stadio San Paolo outfit subsequently handed Real Madrid €37m for Higuain – a man who was also being chased by Juventus” data-scaytid=”12″>Juventus and Arsenal.

“Higuain is a starter for the Argentine national side and, at the age of 18, he was already playing for Real Madrid,” ex-striker Sosa told Radio Marte.

“Cavani, meanwhile, is behind Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan in the Uruguay side.

“The Matador is more of a goal scorer, but Higuain is the more complete footballer. I’m convinced that Gonzalo will do very well in Naples.”

The 25-year-old scored his first Azzurri goal in the win at Chievo in Week 2.
