“I have no meeting planned with Lazio regarding a renewal,” Joseph Lee was quoted as saying. “Our agreement expires in 2015 and now is not the time to discuss an extension.

“Hernanes is happy in Rome, happy with his relationship with the Coach and how the team are going.”

However, the Gazzetta dello Sport is suggesting that the Nerazzurri have shown an interest in netting the player at the end of the season.

Hernanes cost Lazio around €12m in the summer of 2010 from Sao Paulo.
