Lazio President Claudio Lotito has rejected claims that star man Hernanes has asked to be sold at the end of the season.

There have been rumours that the Brazilian was looking for a new club following his arrival in Italy three years ago.

“If the player asks us for a transfer then we will consider that request, but that hasn’t happened yet,” Lotito told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Ever since I came here, the squad has always been strengthened, but the paths in football are endless…

“Then, when someone has asked to leave, such as Aleksandar Kolarov or Stephan Lichtsteiner, we’ve made them happy.”

The 27-year-old, now a Brazilian international, signed a five-year contract with the Biancocelesti following his €13m move from Sao Paulo.
