While Young Boys right-back Silvan Hefti is having his Genoa medical, Venezia have reportedly struck a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance.

The teams in the relegation battle are eager to bolster their ranks during the January transfer window and are already active, even though the market officially doesn’t start up again until January 2.

Swiss right-back Hefti arrived this morning and is undergoing his medical ahead of a €5m transfer to Andriy Shevchenko’s Genoa.

Now Sky Sport Italia report that Venezia have agreed terms with Bayern Munich for the permanent transfer of midfielder Cuisance.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Olympique Marseille and made only a couple of substitute appearances for Bayern this term, still scoring a goal in the DFB Cup.

His previous clubs include Nancy and Borussia Monchengladbach.
