Felipe Melo will stay under observation after the Inter midfielder was diagnosed with head trauma.

The Brazilian clashed heads with teammate Gary Medel during tonight’s 1-0 Serie A victory over Genoa at San Siro.

He twice went down during the first half, suffering from dizzy spells, but insisted on continuing the game.

Melo was eventually substituted during the break and taken to hospital for tests, accompanied by his wife and the club medic.

Inter released a statement confirming there was no serious damage, but he does have head trauma.

He’ll be kept in for observation tonight.

The concern is that Melo spoke to Sky Sport Italia reporters as he was entering the ambulance and said “I don’t remember a damn thing.”
