Samir Handanovic has effectively pushed Julio Cesar out of Inter and reveals he’d “never want to find myself in his shoes.”
“How do you feel in that situation? I don’t know, you’d have to ask him,” ex-Udinese goalkeeper Handanovic told Sky Sport Italia.
“He is a good guy and there are no problems between us. Personally I would never want to find myself in his shoes at the moment, though I don’t really know the dynamics of what happened after five years together.”
Handanovic is preparing for his official debut in a Nerazzurri jersey when Europa League opponents Hajduk Split face Inter on Thursday.
“I know the Croatian League and their mentality. When Hajduk play on home turf, the atmosphere is incredible. It really fires them up.”
