Marek Hamsik “thought I’d scored” for Slovakia when denied by a goal-line clearance in their 2-1 defeat to Wales.
The Napoli midfielder almost got the perfect start to his Euro 2016 after three minutes, dribbling past a series of defenders and beating the goalkeeper, but didn’t count on the desperate Ben Davies block.
“I thought I’d scored with my move at the start of the match,” confessed Hamsik.
