“My mind is on the match, as it’s important and we want to end the year on a high. We are concentrated only on our performance,” the captain told Sky Sport Italia.
“Surpassing Maradona’s record was an achievement, but now what counts more is to win the game and get all three points for the team.
“Maradona gave me a gift. I can’t tell you what it was!”
A victory this evening would ensure Napoli are top of the table at the midway stage of the season, making them Campioni d’Inverno – Winter Champions.
“We’d certainly be happy to be crowned Winter Champions, but ultimately it means little. It’s the three points that count. This is a difficult match, but we want to win.”
