The attacking midfielder has been linked with a San Paolo exit after being jeered by fans, but after Coach Rafa Benitez praised his Europa League performance, the Slovakian says he’s happy at Napoli.
“I’ve said many times that I feel at home here,” Hamsik told assembled journalists as he received an award from CONI.
“I like everything about this city – the sun, the sea and the food. The city and its people have always acted in the right way, and that’s why I’m still here.
“Do I feel like a symbol of this city? I think so.
“There are still a lot of things I have to achieve, but I’m on the right path.”
