Paris Saint-Germain full-back Achraf Hakimi has tested positive for coronavirus and is currently in isolation.

The former Inter defender tested positive ahead of the Nerazzurri’s clash with Borussia Mönchengladbach back in October 2020 as well.

But the Morocco international then tested negative only one day later and was thus prevented from playing by UEFA due to a ‘false positive’ test result.

L’Equipe reports the Moroccan and 18-year-old midfielder Edouard Michut have tested positive for COVID-19 and are placed in isolation.

Hakimi moved from the Beneamata for around €60m plus €11m in possible bonuses at the beginning of last week.

He played his first game for the French giants on Wednesday, in a friendly against Le Mans, where he contributed one assist in a 4-0 win.

The 22-year-old was expected to play against Chambly, which ended in a 2-2 draw, and seems set to miss out against Augsburg and Genoa next week as well.
