“We are seeking a positive result, which would be important for the present and the future,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Watch out, as Cagliari are a strong side. We must give 100 per cent of our capabilities to beat them. They are solid and determined with a remarkable amount of quality in attack.

“I expect a lot from my team. We need to approach this with courage and character, not fear. I want to see an improvement from a psychological level, as games have to be finished off. We must learn to be more ruthless, otherwise we’ll keep dropping points by the wayside.”

Antonio Di Natale is set to start and admitted this weekend he’s reconsidering his decision to retire at the end of the season.

“Di Natale had rediscovered his form. He never lost his class, as he has some moves I’ve never seen anyone else do in my life,” concluded Guidolin.

Maurizio Domizzi is suspended for the Friulani, while Andrea Lazzari and Igor Bubnjic are sidelined.

Udinese squad for Cagliari: Brkic, Kelava, Scuffet; Basta, Danilo, Gabriel Silva, Heurtaux, Naldo, Widmer; Allan, Badu, Fernandes, Yebda, Pereyra, Pinzi, Jadson; Di Natale, Lopez, Maicosuel, Muriel, Zielinski
