Francesco Guidolin has appealed to Udinese to remain calm and recognise that Champions League qualification is yet to be guaranteed.

The Zebrette stand on the brink of qualifying for UEFA’s premier competition for the second consecutive season, as they go into the final round of fixtures two points ahead of the chasing pack in the final qualification spot.

However, even as they prepare to journey south to Catania needing only a point to achieve this goal, Coach Guidolin has moved to remind his players that the task still needs full focus.

“We are calm. Nothing is decided, everything is still to be achieved. We just have to prepare well and be ready in our head, legs and heart. The road is still long.

“We’re not favourites, we are in the sprint with the others. Playing alongside teams that represent Italian football in terms of history and past success fills us with pride.

“We will endeavour to raise ourselves, but they will also do the same. I think it’s all still to play for.”
