Francesco Guidolin has thanked the leaders at Udinese after what has been a disappointing season for the Zebrette.

The Stadio Friuli outfit have endured a tough campaign this term, sitting in 13th place with just 42 points.

But ahead of their game against Verona tomorrow, the Coach has been moved to praise the board for their patience.

“We’re going there believing we can get a result,” he told a Press conference. “We need to raise our level of performance though.

“I’m expecting an intense match, but it’s going to be an opportunity for a few of our fringe players because we’ve got a few missing.

“The likes of Widmer and Nico Lopez will get their chance tomorrow.

“I want to thank the club though, because, in spite of everything, they have never challenged me this season. I’m grateful to them for that.”
