Former Udinese Coach Francesco Guidolin has revealed he has given the club his advice on who his successor should be.

The 58-year-old tactician stepped down from his role as Bianconeri boss after the end of the season but will continue to work at the Stadio Friuli in a role behind the scenes.

Speaking to Sky Sport today, the former Palermo Coach briefly discussed his new position in Friuli-Venezia-Giulia but admitted he had no idea as to who the new Coach would be.

“I will certainly not be short of work in my new role,” Guidolin said. “I will be giving the club a hand, in a city and in a region that are now part of me.

“The new Coach? That’s a decision down to the club. I have given them my advice because the club asked me for it.

“As far as the rest of it goes, I will not pretend I know anything.”
