Whispers this week have suggested that the 26-year-old could move on at the end of the season, with numerous clubs keen on his signature.

However, agent Marcelo Ferreyra has told calciomercato.it that the former Porto player will remain at San Siro.

“My client wants to improve as a player and win trophies with Inter,” the representative underlined. “Neither Fredy nor myself are looking for a new solution.

“I’m not talking to any other clubs because Fredy wants to fight for a future at Inter. And nobody from the club has told me that he could be leaving either…”

The midfielder has scored 10 goals in 45 games across all competitions for the Beneamata this term.
