The hugely successful Coach took Barça to the Champions League, Liga, European Super Cup and World Club Cup titles.

His current deal expires at the end of the season, fuelling reports he is ready to take over at Inter, especially after Claudio Ranieri’s latest downturn in fortunes.

“I have not yet decided whether to renew my contract or not,” confessed Guardiola in his press conference.

“I have to be sure and don’t want to take myself or the club for a ride. Now the situation is not that clear to me, as I still need a bit more time to decide.

“If the club puts a deadline on this issue, then I will be ready to talk about it and together we’ll reach a decision.

“Until that moment, I will continue working with the team day by day, as I always have done during these years.”

Guardiola has very strong links to Serie A, as he played for Roma and Brescia from 2001 to 2003. He was recently photographed with an Inter scarf.
