The reports continue to escalate that Gomez’s time in Bergamo is up, as the argument with his coach might even have got physical during the half-time break of their 1-1 Champions League draw with Midtjylland.

Gomez has kept silent so far on the situation, but his wife Linda Raff made a post on her Instagram Stories today.

It was a reading of ‘The Three Sieves of Socrates’, a parable from the Greek philosopher.

One day, the old wise Socrates walks down the streets, when all of the sudden a man runs up to him. ‘Socrates I have to tell you something about your friend who…’

“Wait,” Socrates interrupts him. “The story you're about to tell me, did you put it through the three sieves?”

"Three sieves?" The man asks. "What three sieves?"

Socrates explains "the first sieve is the one of truth, did you check what you were about to tell me is true?”

The man replies he just overheard it.

“Ah, well then you have used the second sieve, the sieve of good?" Socrates asks. "Is what you are about to tell me something good?”

The man replies no, quite the contrary.

“Let's use the third sieve then, is it necessary to tell me what you're so excited about?”

The answer was no, not really.

“Well,” Socrates says with a smile. “If the story you're about to tell me isn't true, good or necessary, just forget it and don't bother me with it.”
