Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez says the club are aiming to ‘win every game’ to try and end the season with silverware.

The Viola hold a lead in the Coppa Italia semi-final, and have also reached the last eight of the Europa League, and the German thinks they can go even further.

“We won’t win the Scudetto, that’s almost certain,” Gomez told RAI.

“The goal is to keep going in the Coppa Italia and the Europa League and try to win every game.

“We won’t win the Scudetto, that’s almost certain,” Gomez told RAI.

“The goal is to keep going in the Coppa Italia and the Europa League and try to win every game.

“If you win every game, you reach the final and then you have a 50-50 chance of winning. We have the strength to continue in both competitions, and we have to win every game to reach the final.”

Gomez also scotched reports he could leave the Viola, insisting he’s happy in Florence.

“I know what the truth is, I don’t care about the rumours. I’m calm. I’ve often said that I want to stay in Florence.

“It’s not time to leave Fiorentina, I came to win, that’s the goal I have in mind and I haven’t achieved it yet.”
