Tottenham Hotspur are in negotiations with Atalanta for goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, claim Sky Sport Italia.

Gollini is no stranger to the Premier League, having played in England for Manchester United’s youth team and then for Aston Villa.

His services are no longer required in Bergamo, as La Dea have already purchased Juan Musso from Udinese.

Gollini’s contract runs to June 2023 and the 26-year-old had to share the gloves last season, rotating with Marco Sportiello, but still made 32 competitive appearances between Serie A, the Champions League and Coppa Italia.

It’s reported Spurs are currently negotiating with Atalanta over a possible loan with option to buy.

That could also become a two-year loan with obligation to make the purchase at the end of that period.

Atletico Madrid have also been linked with Gollini, but only as an understudy to Jan Oblak.

On the other hand, Tottenham would guarantee him more playing time, as Hugo Lloris is only under contract in London until June 2022.
