Napoli director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli refused to rule out more moves before the transfer deadline and confirmed there is ‘no’ progress for Lorenzo Insigne’s contract.

“We are confident, the team is almost intact from last season, when we had some very good results,” Giuntoli told DAZN.
“We brought in Luciano Spalletti as coach because he can give a little bit more that we were missing last term.”
The director was asked if Napoli’s window is effectively closed.
“No, it closes in two days’ time. We are satisfied, as we have a very good squad and kept all the most important elements, so that gives us faith for the future.”
However, Giuntoli was questioned on if there were any developments for Insigne’s contract extension.
“No,” was the clear response.
Insigne is only under contract until June 2022 and negotiations for an extension have hit a brick wall for weeks.
